Dr Marcheggiani, for me, is an excellence! Three major operations since 2016: right shoulder reverse prosthesis, followed by left knee prosthesis and, recently, left shoulder reverse prosthesis. A steady hand, like his character, which conveys confidence and guarantees presence even in the convalescence period.

I send my praise to you In February 2019, I underwent a subtotal left meniscectomy for a complete bucket-handle rupture of the lateral meniscus. Months later, I still complained of knee pain when walking. The functional re-education and quadriceps muscle strengthening exercises I was undergoing were of no benefit. In July, I had an orthopaedic examination at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute with Dr. Marcheggiani Muccioli. After a careful evaluation, the doctor proposed an ‘osteotomy’, i.e. a surgical solution to correct the axis of my valgus knee (the cause of my gonalgia). Therefore, on 3 August 2020, I underwent the operation ‘bi-planar variant femoral osteotomy in plus external left knee’. This surgery led to the total recovery of my knee.
